About the Thames Estuary Branch MLAGB

What constitutes a Thames Estuary Branch member?

A Thames Estuary Branch member, is a member of the MLAGB & a member of the Basildon Rifle & Pistol Club (BRPC) Blackpowder Section.

Basildon Rifle & Pistol Club, located in Essex, has two ranges, the 25m and 50m which are available for use by the Blackpowder Section on the following days;
The 25m range is available every Saturday, mainly for pistol and revolver.
The 50m range is available every Tuesday and odd dated Sundays, mainly for rifle and smoothbore musket.

Thames Estuary Branch Competitions

The branch holds several competitions throughout the year, at BRPC, covering most of the blackpowder disciplines. The competition season runs from April until December. Trophies & medals are awarded for each of the competitions & are presented at the Branch AGM.

Other blackpowder disciplines i.e. Matchlock, Breechloaders & Miniature Cannon can also be shot at BRPC, but the branch does not have any specific competitions for these disciplines.
However, these along with medium, long range & shotgun are covered by the MLAGB in national competitions held at Wedgnock, Bisley & other ranges. See main MLAGB web site for more details.
